AS "MINTY" SHE WAS BORN INTO AMERICA'S SLAVE SYSTEM. AS A CHILD SHE SUFFERED ABUSIVE BEATINGS. AS A YOUNG WOMAN SHE RAN AWAY TO TAKE HER OWN FREEDOM AND RETURNED TO FREE OTHERS. SHE LIVED TO SERVE HER PEOPLE AND MANY OTHERS, TILL THE AGE OF 93!
FROM 1849 - 1860 "MOSES" MADE OVER 19 TRIPS AS A MAJOR CONDUCTOR ON THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. WITH HER UNWAVERING FAITH IN A HIGHER POWER, SHE GUIDED OVER 300 ENSLAVED AFRICANS ALONG THE EASTERN SHORE FROM MARYLAND, DELAWARE, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK TO CANADA...TO FREEDOM!
SHOWED UNWAVERING LOVE FOR THE PEOPLE SHE LIBERATED WITH HER KNOWLEDGE OF HEALING PLANTS. SHE NURSED AND SAVED MANY LIVES ON THE BATTLEFIELDS OF SOUTH CAROLINA. SHE OPENED A HOME FOR THE AGED AT HER HOME IN ALBANY, NEW YORK.
AS SHE WAS RESPECTFULLY NAMED BY FREEDOM FIGHTER, JOHN BROWN. GENERAL TUBMAN WAS A SCOUT ALONG SIDE UNION SOLDIERS. SHE SERVED WITH A ARMY OF FREE AFRICANS AND LED A SUCCESSFUL RAID ON REBEL CAMPS DURING THE CIVIL WAR.
